Great book, very approachable. Written like Pastor Madden is sitting at the table with you, discipling you through these concepts. I read the whole the book to my wife, and it inspired both of us greatly. This is the kind of book I wish I could give myself 13 years ago, when our family started. I plan to get several copies to give the younger men/families in my congregation.
Adam is a natural story teller. I enjoyed his writing style. The content was inspiring to tweak my mindset on the the mission of my familly.

I got more out of this book than two years of seminary. Increasingly, pastors want to avoid practical application "so we don't bind the conscience", when in reality they are being led by fear of man. 10/10 every group of men who are serious about raising Christian children, instilling in them a love of people and place, and keeping your generations need to read and begin the arduous, glorious work of building productive households.
