I'm pretty sure the book content is great but the top of the book pages are frayed and stuck together and has led to the book pages tearing.
It was excellent, it struck a nice balance between reassuring encouragement and urgent rebuke. Very useful.
Great book
The book was incredibly practical and thoroughly biblical. I will say that I was surprised at the extent of details in the chapter on husband-and-wife relations, but I also appreciate a book that gives highly applicable advice. My church is considering using this book in our counseling ministry! I personally think that every husband should read the book and benefit from the knowledge and wisdom that Ben offers throughout it. 10/10
One of my favorite NCP books; very insightful and practical. I plan to lend this book to multiple friends.
A perfect blend of the hope of the Gospel, practical advice, and the call to greater.
Excellent gospel based book on attacking and killing lust. I have read many books on this topic and this is one of the few that starts from the Gospel and word of God as the starting point and not with popular psychology.
It calls sin what it is. Refreshing and very effective.
Wonderful teaching on how to kill that age old enemy of lust
Excellent, helpful, gifted to a son.
Very good work here by Ben Garrett. This is a good distillation of many other works on lust and pornography, infused with a healthy dose of cutting-edge recovery of Christian masculinity. Well worth the read for a man struggling with lust or someone who loves someone who struggles with lust.
Not only was it a great book with a great view on the fight against Lust, but also has some really good points on covenant succession and family worship. If I could I'd give it 11 out of 5 stars.
good book read the whole thing
This is a no nonsense approach to killing lust. Ben does a great job of providing in depth theology on the sin as well as providing practical steps for killing the sin. This book can be applied to men, women, Single, and married. From a fellow Ben, good job Ben Garret.
I'm most of the way through it and it is very helpful. Your book touches on things I've never heard elsewhere, such as the existence of a false repentance. Two weeks since buying the book and I see the fruit already!
Ben, thank you for this encouraging work. I found this book to be helpful and challenging. This will be a great resource in my family library. We'll done.
Great work. I am using it in pastoral ministry, very helpful
